I believe they're both! Male and female that is. I guess when you move that slowly it pays to be able to shag the first thing you come across! On another site (a *gardening* site I hasten to add) someone posted some fantastic photos of two slugs mating, it was really fascinating, they sort of twist together and then both twist their unfeasibly large..um..bits..together. I believe the photographer let them have their moment of coital bliss and then he squished them both :shock:

I should have suspected that, actually (I mean the bi-sexuality of slugs), it's similar with earth worms. But how do you put it - is the slug therefore an "it", or a "s/he"?
