That's interesting, is that what you make Falafel with ?
I'm not that knowledgeable about North African cooking.

A few tomatoes courgettes and turnips. The radishes bolted so fast we couldn't eat them so we're now waiting for the seed pods. Everything else has been poor.

The leeks are looking pretty good though.

Fortunately I have no kitchen at the moment so it doesn't matter that I have nothing to harvest. :(

I've been digging Anya and Picasso spuds. Dug 6 roots of Picasso and got 29lb of tubers
Still quite a few in the ground, and soil is pretty wet now so I want to get them lifted before the slugs get them all :flower:

I have harvested most of what's on plot number 1. The runner beans are very behind indeed. Plot number 2 looks to be a disaster area - rather expected but we might get a few heads of calabrese (small). I didn't expect much when I met the soil but you have to plant and see. Better next year.

Nothing for the town show next weekend - there's no class for two well fed kids and a well fed grandson.

We have a lot of that here, in fact it makes up the basis of quite a lot of our meals, the wizard usually looks in the fridge or in the cupboards to see what we can have for lunch and says well, ,there is sweet FA here. I tell him he can always have bread and pullit, which is what my nan always said we could have when we asked what was for dinner

Oh dear. I did notice that you haven't posted on FB lately about delivering veg to your local shop.

Ironically (for you), apart from everything being about a month late, it's been a reasonably good year. Runner beans are going on and on and on, as are the climbing French beans. Tomatoes were a slow start but now we have more bottled than last year.
OK, I'll shut up now .....

I've got calabrese - not as much as there should be but enough to say we grew it!

Nothing now. Everything's dried up and gone bitter.

Just picked a small courgette for my salad - had to throw away half of it; this year they rot before they get to any decent size... :(

Beetroot and kohlrabi seem to want to bolt - again, before they come to any size. Not a good year overall!

I'm into cooking apples so we need to work out storage but I don't think that this lot will last long. Discussion to be had with family on preserving.

Discovered yesterday that my little tree has not one, but TWO apples - 100% increase on harvest! :)

I picked all my Discovery apples yesterday, the rooks had decided to start pecking holes in them, they seem to know when they are ready. Two large baskets full, have stuffed them into two fridges. I love to cook with eating apples, you use so much less sugar than cooking apples. I have three other trees with small apples on, the Discovery was a good 4 or 5 weeks late this year, so maybe the other will do something, they are later season apples
