Yes, she can have it by all means, I'm not contesting it ... I'm sorry if I gave that impression.sleepyowl wrote:I think you should give it to Millymollymandy

Re: Who am I? (just for fun)
I still don't understand. I listed three names against which you should have written, no, no and yes. That's how we've been playing this game since whenever! I'm not upset I just couldn't understand why you didn't say YES against the name that was correct!Odsox wrote:I'm sorry I upset you, but narrowing it down to three doesn't constitute 'getting it' in my mind. Also a couple of games back it turned out to be someone I had never heard of, on a daytime show that I have never seen, on a TV channel I probably can't even get, but I didn't get uppity about it.Millymollymandy wrote:I don't understand, I listed the three girls so I obviously 'got it'. Just waiting for you to say Yes against the one who it was.I don't know that programme (or the pop group) and you have to remember that Annpan doesn't have a telly at all!
OK.Millymollymandy wrote:I don't want to play this game any more
I'm trying to play this game to a wide (ish) audience and therefore try to pick names of people who everyone will have heard of, including people with no telly yet we seem to have got stuck on TV people and presenters rather than the politians, historical figures (even sportspeople) etc that we started out with.
I'm certainly not uppity! Why do you get that impression?
I don't want to play the game any more because I've been doing 90% of the work and I'm fed up with it. I did say that before! There are very few who are joining in so there's not really a lot of point, is there, because without me this game would have fizzled out a long time ago.

Re: Who am I? (just for fun)
I apologise, but I chose this person because the average age of the people on this forum is a lot younger than myself, and quite a few have young children. Hannah Sperritt was in a popular group in the early part of this decade and had several No 1 hits. She also appeared in 52 episodes of various children's TV series and is now a main cast member in an ITV program, so I can't see that she is 'obscure', just maybe not on TV shows that you watch.Millymollymandy wrote:Why did you choose somebody so obscure?
I also apologise for inferring that you was 'uppity'
I will now go off and put my head in a bucket.

Just as long as you don't drown yourself.
Don't forget I have been out of the UK since 95 so I've no idea who any group is of that era (thankfully I missed the mass breakout of boybands in the 90s and early 2000s
) because I have not been able to listen to UK radio and didn't get any UK TV until after 2000 and that was only BBC, then we had to wait years to get ITV and Channel 4 & 5. Now I could listen to the radio through the satellite but my husband insists on having old fogey radio 4 on in the house all the time which drives me nuts!
I thought I was being nice bothering to google a teeny bop band despite desperate pleas (to the others who are not bothering to play this game any more) not to have to, but no-one else came to my resuce which is why I finished off the quiz for you to be kind!
If anyone wants to carry on with the game be my guest! I just need a break.

To me it always seems to be bloody religious services and if not that, then cricket or classical music. Not my cup of tea!

Re: Who am I? (just for fun)
Obviously. But as I don't sit and listen to radio, rather half listen whilst I'm in and out and doing stuff, that's not the kind of thing I want from radio. Most irritatingly there is a good local French radio station that I can only get upstairs in the house which is no good for when I'm downstairs - hill in the way or something.
