I'm active on this forum:
http://www.thriftyhearts.co.uk/forum/index.php
It's friendly, and a nice, little community. It's new and still quite small. It's called Thrifty Hearts and you are all cordially invited.

From the name of the forum, I would expect it to be UK based; however, the couple of posts I just checked out were simply irrelevant for here - they were clearly aimed at US members. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but I find it a bit confusing if that's not pointed out when people post suggestions.

The woman who owns the site is in Ireland. Some of us do live in the States. I know of one who is in New Zealand. It'd be really great to have people from all over. I can't always utilize some of the things posted here at ish. Sometimes I don't even know what folks are referrring to. Ish is such a nice place, tho', I just look up things I'm interested in.
Thrifty Hearts has a different purpose than ish. I find the two together a good balance.

You are right. But I always find it a good idea if it is made clear where the posters are from - not the exact location, of course, just the country. Thats goes for Ish as much as for any other site!

Ina, that's a good point. I've suggested it to the administrator at Thrifty Hearts.

Thanks for the link, I will have a good read of it later when the sun isnt shining. At the moment it is, so I am going to make the most of it and get outside and start clearing up the garden.

There is a growing number of these sites - unsurprising really- given the global situation. This one has s friendly feel to it though, some are just awful excuses to sell things to make you thrifty
thanks for the tip!
