I've got a few bushes that arent self supporting, blackberry, loganberry, and oddly a fast growing blueberry.
To give them a hand I chopped a few tree branch with plenty of twiggy growth off a tree and pressed it into the ground next to them, then drapped them over the branches.
I just kind of assumed that made sense, now I'm not so sure.

You'll probably need to tie the bush to the support.

Another method is to put 2 stake in on either side of your bush and attatch lengths of string between the 2, then, rather than having the string tied on to the bush, you let the bush grow in between the strings. this is the standard way of training raspberries, but I'd imagine it would work for some other fruit bushes.

The bushier types will probably need 4 stakes around them, and then the branches tied in. I'm just about to do that with my gooseberry, which is growing in a very funny way... Kind of windswept, all in one direction, and close to the ground.

Well, its been a week. The Blackcurrant has quickly colonised the branch and made a spirited rush for the redcurrant, the loganberry had a go but didnt seem to get the wrap around part and the blueberry didnt even try, I'm sure its digging for gold.
