New event in Aberystwyth to get people growing organic veg!

Hello to all
I'd like to invite anyone living in the West Wales area to come along to the launch of the Garden Exchange Scheme, it's on saturday the 11th October, from 2-4pm, at the Quakers' Meeting Hall in Penparcau, Aberystwyth. The idea is to get people to come along if they a)would like to grow veg but don't have any space, or b) have gardens too big for them to use at the moment, and would like to have someone working in them.
We'll do a bit of a matchmaking service, and try and get people together. There will also be local experts around to answer questions on organic gardening, how to make your garden wildlife friendly, and how to get the best out of a polytunnel, and grow for the local market.
There will be activities for children, a competition with a free packet of seeds for every entrant, and a grand prize! We will also have someone talking about foraging and wild foods, and activities around sprouting edible seeds. The venue is accessible for wheelchair users and has a hearing loop.
Everybody is welcome, the more people that we get, the more we can get organic veg growing all over Aberystwyth! Regards, Chloe Griffiths - Transition Town Aberystwyth.
