Wrong conker soap

My conker soap's gone mouldy. Here's what I did.

1. Collect newly fallen, hard conkers.
2. Cut off shiney brown skin.
3. Roughly cut.
4. Blend using electric blender and a little water.
5. Spread thinly on a tupperware lid.
6. Leave to dry.

Should I have dried them out in the oven? Also, I blended the mixture which produced lots of soapy froth but the pieces never got smaller then desacated coconut. If it had fully dried out I think it would have just crumbled.

What have I done wrong? Thanks chaps.

I shall be watching with interest for a solution! I have just collected a load of conkers to burn on the Rayburn, but soap sounds brilliant! pbf

I found some good information at this website... http://green.goodmoral.com/item/soap-from-trees.

Looks interesting but they make a liquid soap for washing clothes. Help this helps :flower:

Penny Lane Many thanks for the site. Liked the bit about Fat Hen. My allotment is covered in it! pbf
