has anyone made a swimming pond? If so, what kind of plants have you used please? Have done numerous searches but they answers are generalised types of plants - I want proper names please and any other handy types for making one.

I doubt the taxman would swallow it, although its still worth asking if you do a lot of demonstrations as thats the percentage of time you might be able to claim for

I've heard that Swimming Ponds cost a lot more to have built for you than Swimming Pools. Any idea why that might be, other than extra design or expensive plants?

I think advice is vague over which specific plants to use because there are many of them which work equally well. It's usually best to use local native plants as they will not be as invasive and will more likely encourage wildlife. As swimming ponds are more popular in other countries it might be a bad idea to copy what someone else has used succuessfully in another country.
