Oh B*gger!!!!

A thin branch high up in one of the pear trees sheared and fell, giving me about 15 pounds of unripe pears. On the way down, it crashed squarely into the crown of the plum tree, which proceeded to shatter and split - end result is branches all over the place and about 50 lbs of very unripe plums all over the orchard. It's a winemaker's catastrophe of the first order.

Has anyone any practical idea if unripe plums are useful in any meaningful way?

Mike

EDIT - ah, I see Jeremy has the same problem. I'll watch that thread rather than people having to answer the same question twice.

Sorry to hear that MKG. I don't know what you can do with them unripe other than hope they might ripen. :(
