I've got some marrows and squashes that I want to try and hang from the beams of my garage in nets to keep them stored in the winter.

does anyone know where I can buy them from?

Thanks!

Hi Susie

you may not believe me but tights popped into my mind the other day and I had completely forgotten about them!

Great idea and pretty sure it will work thanks!

I save up lots of the huge onions nets from any time we have stuff delivered in them (small quantities of wood seem to come that way)

Perhaps you could ask on freecycle for some?

I save all nets that onions, spuds and oranges come in for storing my onions in. Obviously that won't help you now but it's a good idea to start saving them for next year.

I get carrots delivered in nets weekly over the winter for us, the dog and the horse (we all love carrots!). I keep the nets, but I have quite a lot- some spare.

Not sure how far away you are (Some bits of Northamptonshire are close to the Cambridgshire border). If you think you will be passing Huntingdon area let me know you can have a dozen

I decided on shelves for my squash. The OH promised to build them so I waited...... then got some on freecycle which he heavily criticised... then filled with all his junk! Junk being re located on the floor when pumpkins are ready to be sure!

Hello

We're in Wellingborough, and I can't think of anywhere that we would be going that would head your way but thank you anyway for the kind offer!

What kind of shelves are you putting your squash on? I put some things on plastic shelves last year, I can't remember them keeping that well but I may be totally wrong!

Men and their junk..........my o/h cleared our garage out last year and just couldn't part with these hu-mong-us mesh things that have stakes that go into the ground, so he stuck them behind our wheelie bins instead

Peggy Sue I passed nearby you in April whilst travelling down the AI from Notts. For some reason Godmanchester sticks in my mind so when I saw it on the map I immediately thought of you!

I'm driving past in a few weeks if you are still stuck and want some nets- on my way to Wales to visit the folks!

I'm going to use wood shelves rather than plastic, hopefully not as sweaty.... we shall see!

What way do you go to Wales? My o/h is in North Wales at the mo travelling back tonight (also visiting parents) though he tends to travel back really late to avoid meeting any traffic whatsover as he is a nightmare when he hits a traffic jam!
