I don't use any tape - they seem to keep together long enough until they are planted! Just stand them in something a bit deeper than just a tray (I use plastic fruit punnets). Icecream tubs would be good, too (also an excuse to eat icecream!

). If you pack the rolls in quite tightly, they keep each other upright.

I use toilet rolls for both kidney beans and also sweet peas, just gather them into a group and either put string or an elastic band round them and stand them in a plant saucer.

I've been collecting toilet rolls,
and I'll be growing sweet peas
but how exactly are you using them?
I assume it's not just for planting in. Cuz I have no more room to start seeds in the house and will be planting my remaining veggies straight outdoors in May.
(I can't wait that long tho! I'm gooing crazy wanting to garden! Crazy. Well, maybe that's the pressure of my impending comprehensive exam and reading too many books in preparation.

Snails have eaten my fresh new Bean shoots
I have to plant some more and I'm curious too as to what you do with the toilet roll tube.
