There have been so many recipes shared on SSISH... how about a compilation of them (with comments too by those that have tried them) - I know they are on here, but I love flicking through a book of recipes.. especially if they are ones that are really good.

I love reading cookery books. I very rarely cook anything out of them though... Just like the inspiration.

Yep will do. Perhaps with the profit made with the Bags. (to be for sale soon) we could look into vanity press and see how much it will cost.

So what format would it take? seasonal recipes one every month sort of like the river cottage cookbook? Or something completly different.

Perhaps we could all contribute our favorite recipes as we have people from all over the world we could have quite a few.

love cooking. Great idea! I think a general one might be good as we are so diverse on here - ie 'autumn' in UK is nothing like 'autumn' in California..

A general format is good - the seasons in scotland are different to those in Bristol/cornwall ... (never mind the overseas places lol)

It needn't cost too much really - it could be done on cd-rom/download... and be printed out by the individual if they want to!!

I think it would be good to have it in hard copy. I am sure if we ask enough publishers we will find one that will print it. otherwise, vanity press is an option. I have a mate who has publsihed a book himself will find out how much it cost, I am sure there are grants out there that could help out too.

We could perhaps incorperate some of this tips post on the forum too.

I've mentioned these guys before, cafepress are a wasy of producing your own merchandise without a huge outlay. They also publish books, great for our american cousins across the pond-but air freight over to the UK would be a bit pricey and not all that green. You upload your book in PDF format and they do the rest-you set the markup on the base price (or not) and they then send you the profits!

Actually I have just had a look around at prices and I think that if we sell all the bags then the book is a goer. I can order 50 copies to start with and take it from there. Is £8 for a 96 page cookbook a fair price?

I'd pay it, but I'd probably give them away as Christmas Presents.

I'm surprised that NOCHEX is asking for £50, Andy. They didn't charge me that but I'm moving away from the idea of using Paypal/Nochex anyhow and have sold my soul to LloydsTSB (sorry, guys, too skint for the Co-op) and will probably use their online banking/ cardnet facility).
