I am a SAHM (stay at home mum) to two under 3 , 15 mo apart (just!). I live in the Fens. Prior to the kid onslaught I was a history teacher in Hackney, London. When the kids came along, we moved, downsized, and fetched up in the Fens with the idea to live cheaply, quietly, and on one wage. We have a large garden and I am plannign on 4 raised beds and bantams. (once we've removed the HUGE tons of gravel that the last owners preferred to lawn...) I am keen to forage, grow and show the little ones where eggs come from. I'm trying to be greener with 1 car, and hopefully hubby will get local work soon so he can employ locally and work locally. The Fens is a little odd to one used to hills and buildings, but the horizon is nice! I'm hoping for advice on veg growing, chicken keeping and being cheap!
