wool insulation

wool insulation i was thinking of using up some wool as insulation now i know its been done etc etc but as iv never done it i was only thinking of insulating the shed roof also maybe the roof of the chicken coop its untreated wool so will be abit waterproof aswell if there is any leaks i got to do a load of re-felting on the coop and shed and hutches in the coming weeks so i thought just for added warmth add some wool on the underside and maybe use something like hessian sack or weed control sort of stuff so will act as a skin with wool inbetween would this work and how would you go about it yourself ? cheers matty
