My Mother-in-Law has theses lovely thorns on the perimeter of her fences which would be an awesome living hedgerow. However, We don't what they are and how to get some of them to my neighbouring farm(with identical soil). I've tried cuttings and planting seeds but all have failed.

Can anyone help?

I don't know how to propagate it but it is Pyracantha or Firethorn.
You can get then with yellow, orange or red berries and they are smothered in white flowers in spring.

Pyracantha propagates well frm seed look beneath the hedge you've got there may be young plants, other wise propagate in spring semi hardwood cuttings with a bit of bottom heat.

You could also try growing sloes, hawthorn, hazel, yew as a mix they make up more of the traditional Bristish hedgerow and what's more you can eat them. (yes yew berries are edible but the pip inside is poinous so you have to spit that out)!

The british hedgerow is an awesome idea, a fence which also protects from the wind, keeps dogs/animals in/out and fruit is an extra bonus. The only problem seems to be finding the starting bushes. When I was in england, there was loads of local wild brambles which i am sure you could "borrow". Here, I've seen little of hedgerows stuff...
I'm going to also try to get some wild raspberries growing too

A wooden wine box with drainage holes drilled in it.2 or 3 inches of sand with an electric propagating cable (ebay or whatever) Top with propagating compost mixed with vermiculite.Plant cuttings taken from nonflowering new growth in late spring about 3 inches long, water a
and cover with a sheet of glass but ventilate during the day.Alternatively, buy an electric propagator.
All the native 'british stuff' comes easily from seed collected from the wild.
