This is a cheeky way to make a little cold frame/container/cloche. It all started when I was in T***o and I noticed how the carpark lights would make awesome little coldframes. Anyways, I thought no more of it. When I arrived home I checked the back of the car and to my suprise there was a car park light!

I ripped out the light fixtures and that left me with the perfect little cold frame! I filled it with some compost and then put some potatoes in it and they shot up like crazy...

They grew so fast that I soon had to remove the top (formerly the bottom) of the lamp to allow the spuds more space to grow...

I then used the top as a cloche for some carrots...

This is a great way to grow if you have limited space and can't afford a proper cold frame or greenhouse or cloche. I advise anyone to give it a go if they too are fortunate enough to find a T***o car park light in the back of their car :pirate: I'm gonna try growin radish in it over winter and i'll let ya know how i get on

So T---o can become 'ish ' after all! by the by did the CCTV camera in the car park find itself in your car too? 10/10 for ingenuity.

Did you inadvertently happen to take a ladder with you to go shopping?

I assume, of course, that the light was surplus to their requirements and the store manager said you could have it!!!!!

If so, then what an excellent idea.
