rumtopf

just picked up a rumtopf jar in my local charridy shop - £1.50 - yay cos they are going for silly money on fleabay.
not done rumtopf before - though was looking back through some of Ina's posts it looks fairly simple
anyone else rumtopfing?

I agree with Susie, also a straight-forward fruit salad with cream can be a bit interesting! Any soft summer fruit will do, just bung it in the pot as it comes into season. Add a little sugar & keep topping up the alcohol. By the end of the year it will be about ready. If you have any leftovers, use it to start off the next lot. Personally we use vodka (& it doesn't have to be a top quality one)........ basically, just make it up as you go along.
