Latest Hi-Tech weapon against slugs

Over the years I've tried virtually every 'organic' way of fighting slugs, none of them that successful, so now I don't use anything but concentrate on only planting out healthy and well hardened off plants. Although slugs still do some damage, well hardened off plants usually don't attract that much attention and generally cope with slug attacks.
However I'm always worried about my melons when I plant them out as a few nibbles on the stem can destroy my valuable plants. So late last night, having been out for the night, I thought I'd divert round to the allotment and do a slug hunt armed with all I had to hand, the light from my Ipad. In the glare of the light from this latest technology those slugs didn't stand a chance.
