Just bottled my home made Ginger beer, looking pretty good, anybody else made any here.. ??

1.3kg ginger
6 tsp ground ginger
1tsp Cream of tartar
3 lemons
2 limes
1.5kg sugar
1kg brew enhancer

Boiled up the ginger, lemons and limes (ground ginger too) for 30 min (in cheap bottled water)
added the rest to a 25litre fermenter and mixed it all together. Filled to the top with cheap bottled water (keep the bottles)
added champagne yeast and nutrient tsp of each.
gave it a stir.

Just bottled it and it tastes pretty good... gotta leave it two weeks but it should be lovely based on current impressions.

works out about 7% by the way!!

Interesting - let us know what it's like.

But what on earth is brew enhancer?

It's usually a mix of dextrose and dried malt extract. Normally used to give a bit more body to kit beer instead of plain sugar.
