Not sure what you mean, AnnPan (principally because I had no idea there WAS a report button  ). Do you mean to use the button to report Spam instead of posting in this section? In which case, of course, the next question would be about what this section is for.

Sorry, just to clarify....

We mods (and our tech geek John) try hard to keep spammers and trolls off the site, we also rely on you guys reporting dodgy posts and spammers, this section has always been the primary way to do this, and we really have no objections if that is how it works, its fine, we do get to it asap to zapp 'em.

However, just as another measure/an alternative/in addition... on every post you will see (at the top right, beside the 'quote' button) a wee exclamation mark. If you use that way of reporting spam (or any post when you feel a mod should take a look) it flags it up for us too.

It might be a quicker way for you to report it?, it can be a quicker way for us to respond and take the necessary action.

It is still important for us to keep a small discussion section about it as some members (I'm guessing not many will read this) will still prefer to report/discuss spammers this way.

I am personally not fussed how you report to us, because it is very helpful to us that you do, so I am just pointing it out as an alternative OK
