http://www.perennials.com/seeplant.html?item=1.170.600 More information about this pretty plant.

Twp clumps of this pretty perennial has been in my garden about three years. It is starting to thrive, since it was moved from a partially shady area which was also a bit too damp. The corms survive in the ground in my area, but as a precaution it is recommenced that they be dug and replanted each year.

I was given a load of corms earlier this year and the first one is flowering. It's a bit more orangey than Lucifer but they are really lovely bright colours.

It is a weed here, or at least the Montbretia version is.
Grows everywhere and just about impossible to get rid of, the only way is to burn it or the corms will just take root wherever you dump it.
It is pretty though and just coming into flower now. :flower:

my 'lucifer' is struggling to compete against the orange 'montbretia', hiding in there somewhere but a bit out competed.

I dug up bags of the orange ones and freegled them a couple of years ago, but it's repopulated the space. I like them because they come up as the spring bulbs die back, and fills the spaces
