Foragers Fayre

Found a giant puffball this morning (plus took note of a few more that aren’t quite ready.. 
) it weighs in at about 1.75kg. Also bagged some wood mushies and just over a kilo of hazel nuts.
I’m thinking whole PB stuffed with red onion, mushrooms and pan fried hazel nuts. Maybe throw in a few garden herbs and some green beans.
Usually squirrels get to most of the hazel nuts but this year the nuts are untouched and are now beginning to drop from the trees. I wonder if the harsh winter saw the squirrels off. Anyone else noticed this.
