I was just wondering if someone had land and wanted to rent out allotment spaces, how much could they charge per month/year?

Depending upon where the allotments are, the facilities provided, the size of the plot, the feelings of the local council, the demand for plots, whether it rained last year in Uzbekistan ...
... anything between £50 and £350 per year.

basically how long is a piece of string...lol...
thanks... we have put an offer in on land, and it would be too much for us to manage at this moment in time, so didnt know whether to sell/auction off some of it, or rent it out either for horses or allotments for the time being....but got to get over quite a few hurddles before i get to that stage, but need to think of my options incase it does all go through..
thanks for the info..
take care

There's always landshare - HFW's initiative to get space worked.
Or, if it's not a money issue, plant up a wild meddow

My plot is on a private site. We have water standpipes close to each plot, good security, a community greenhouse, community leisure areas including a workshop with electricity for plot holders` use, flush toilets, disabled access all areas, a helpful committee who keep the site well maintained and administered.
Our rent is £24 a year for a 300 square yard plot.
