Just browsing one of the google ads, and found this:

Located very near Bradford on Avon, so good for me and shiney, but they also deliver.
Woolley Park Farm wrote:We've been rearing high quality, free range poultry for over 25 years at Woolley Park Farm. A family run business near the historic town of Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire , we offer a wide variety of poultry including turkeys, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl and game.

With over 50 acres of roaming land for our birds to explore, our farm offers a great free range environment which helps produce meaty birds that have a great tasting flavour.
The poultry are dry plucked which gives the meat additional longevity as well as making sure the skin is in perfect condition before it reaches you. The birds are finished by hand and hung in our cold rooms for 7-10 days which helps develop the flavour before eviscerating and dispatch.

All of our birds come oven ready with giblets included.

Crumbs didn't even know they existed! I'll have to go and check them out and see how free range everything is.

Some people sell free range eggs around here, but no sign of chickens. Perhaps they are hiding them.

Its funny you should say that, cos I looked at them and thought "oh, ok, didnt realise they had such short beaks"

Shiney, if you get out there, or even contact them, could you ask how old their birds are when slaughtered? I need to know they get a nice decent run round and generally a good life!

I rearly can't see why freerange poultry needs to be debeaked. Admittedly we only do 30 -50 at a time but surely if they have enough room debeaking isn't necessary. :?

I think the one on the right might just have an 'underbite' Not a real good shot, is it? Maybe it is a recovery bird or retiree...

The others look ok... well, turkeys always look a tad odd, I reckon.

Verdict: de-beaked

Probably as hatchery babies. Always sad to see.
