NZ Flat Worm, argh

I had suspected I had flat worm last year, hardly any worms in veg beds and a funny looking specimen. Google and a few hours pottering today where I found a couple of the critters confirmed it today. :(

Anyone got any tips or suggestions ? I am going to cover raised beds tomorrow with black sacks, feed the results to new chooks. Is there hope ? crops have been ok [mostly] last couple of years. Should I be digging to compensate ? even with raised beds ?

Thanks

I thought flatworm lives in water. What are they exactly? :?

Thanks for the heads up! Make sure you report your findings:
take a digital photograph and email it to mike.lole@adas.co.uk. When taking photos, place an object such as a pencil, or a key, alongside the creature to provide scale.

I've noticed a lack of earthworms at my allotment when I dug it over last year......time to go on the hunt I think!
