Bleeding Heart (Dicentra spectabilis) is a perennial and is in a relatively shady area. It is cut to ground level in the Fall and is a blaze of pretty blooms in early Spring. No pests favour this plant.

Mine have done well this year including the one that kept on being trampled on last year
