why don't you go on freecycle and ask for some, loads of people are glad to get rid of a few pounds, then you can put some in the freezer as well for another batch later on

this time last year always better the second year
most of the damsons tree have no fruit in kent and essex this year blossom washed out in rain :O(

Damson vodka is even nicer than gin IMHO, the juniper flavour in gin can be overpowering.
