Handling pictures for blogs and forums and email.

Handling pictures for blogs and forums and Email. To open links in a new window, which is desirable, simply right click on the URL and choose the option to open in a new window. This means one can return to the post without closing the browser.

Get a domain, internet host. There are many suppliers. I use Midphase for about 7.00 per month.

Buy Breezebrowser for handling your pictures on your computer. This creates the HTML pages and stores your pictures. I store by year, month, day , and name. This is the best software for handling pictures. I have tried them all. You can annotate, watermark, store easily, and HTML with ease.

Upload your photos to your web host using an FTP program. Firefox has a plug in.
I use a separate FTP program. https://shopft.ipswitch.com/campaign/cpus.html

Shorten your URL’s by many of the free systems or buy your own. I use.

For the blog I use WordPress. Simple to use and never fails.

This is the short URL. My blog/garden journal for pictures is not cluttered and there are thousands of pictures. From a shoot to placing pictures on the internet takes a few minutes. The pictures are easy to view and much information can be supplied by simple annotating, and many pictures can be used. All pictures sent by Email use the same system, simply a URL. This system was compiled over time using off the shelf software and is very efficient. All this software is relatively low cost. The learning curve only takes a bit of application.
