Hi folks!
Anyone know of any good bee keeping books?
Hope I've posted this in an appropriate area of the forum, if not feel free to direct me elsewhere.
Many thanks
Sam.

I'm not sure beeking is something I'd want to learn from books, must be better to find a local beekeeper. But hopefully someone will know a book that's good.

The Barefoot Beekeeper is worth getting, especially if you want to keep bees in a more natural environment http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1409271145/? ... wnypi5ud_e There's also a lot of good free information on the biobees site and forum http://www.biobees.com/thankyou.php

My wife's been beekeeping for the last 3 or so years. Her response is that nothing beats joining your local beekeeping society or finding a friendly experienced beekeeper to learn from. Most ofthe books that are aimed at beginners really don't seem to cut the mustard and academic books are too dry although much better.
