I live in southeast Georgia, Usa... this grows in my back yard at the base of a rotting oak tree stump. It is a polypore and has no stem really - strong odor while cleaning but once dried smells a little sweet. Not thin but not too thick either.
This is the second time it has sprouted on the same stump in the last 2 months. [img][/img]

Hi Tina, welcome to Ish.
I'm afraid I'm not the fungus identifier, so can't help, but they are great photos.
I really hope it's edible, if it keeps coming back you could have a great source of mushrooms there.
