I have muscovy ducks whose wings do need clipping but they only need doing twice a year once after every moult.

Muscovies are the only ducks that are likely to fly, as they roost in trees in the wild. Wing clipping won't hurt you little one, i got the vet to do mine first time, but now i do it myself, does not take very long

hope this helps maggie

Hi Maggie

Welcome to the site - whereabouts are you from?? I've got Aylesbury ducks - 3 of them... along with geese and chickens and goats.

Looking foward to hearing more from you.

G'Day Maggie and welcome to the site!

We used to have an Aylesbury duck, it was released in the paddock where my brother and his wife kept horses. It would have made a nice meal for the next fox that happened aling becuse it was totally tame. We didn't even know the sex for sure until she presented us with an egg the next morning.

That's how Donna the duck came to live with us!
