compost block machine

hi...i swear i found this thing on here somewhere but i cant rmember where....its a press that makes blocks out of compost for planting seedlings in
can anyone remember?

i should be more specific...this really is driving me nuts.......i must have followed a link somewhere it was like some sort of organic gardening thing or something
the things im on about are a compactor lever machine that makes small square shaped blocks that you can plant seeds in instead of using pots...thus you dont get problems with root bind etc
i cant for the life of me find it

what's wrong with packing little newpaper pots with compost? Not that I've tried this yet you understand.

I've used the newspaper pots version myself, which works pretty well, is free and uses up some of those stacks of free newspapers. It would be interesting to see some trials of the two systems (block press and newspaper pots) side by side.

That's interesting, and I echo your point about trialling the two. I'd need to hear from someone who's done both, and also to find out how much the gadget costs!
