well thats our 4 old spots away 3 of them sold and buster in our freezer but the 4 tamworth gilts arrived on tuesday and they are beautifull wee girls.think we will keep 2 back for breeding this time. does anyone have any thoughts on a good hardy boar to cross them with or should we stick with the TW. they are reared outside on the wet and windy west coast of scotland.

Well, our Tamworth boar, Ginger, left us on Sunday to go and live with Camillitech on isle of Raasay. I suspect Ginger is going to be the pig king of Raasay as Camillitech has big plans for him!

And not only did Camillitech take Ginger off our hands, sparing from becoming sausages, but he also fixed the handbrake on my Landie. Many thanks on both accounts.

poor old ginger what a journey he had. stuck in the trailer for hours but he's settling in nicely though he was a bit subdued and quiet for a day or so but now he's eating well and acting like a rotovator he did meet the gilts briefly (and unintentionly ) and they were all over him like a bunch of schoolgirls after autographs!! anyway he's got his own acre or so to grub about in and he can still see and hear them so he shouldn't be so lonely
so a big thanks to stoney and family for looking after us and we'll keep you posted on developements.
