Hi Everyone.

i have a piece of ground which i want to develop, (will need top soil/turf etc) which is next to my muscovy ducks (seperated by a fence)

I want to put a couple of geese on this area it measures 19ft 4 x 13ft 5

does anyone know if this is enough ground for them to roam on, i want to get a light breed, like a brecon buff.

any advise would be great.

Well I can't help too much except to say that three geese will eat roughly the equivalent amount of grass as one sheep. I've got 5 Greylags at the moment and they do need seem to need plenty of space when feeding free range. I've penned them only a few times and for only a short while. They do need greens when penned. They really went for cabbages and wheat. Which has been the same with the muscovy ducks. I've only penned the muscovies to protect the young from predators until they can fly.

Obviously your system would be different. Hope this helps a bit.
