possible new bramley?

although we are having trouble in the veg gadren with various pests and lurgies and the bad weather etc... have noticed one of my bean poles is alive. its sprouted leaves. it was a pruning from our bramley tree.

Given that I read somewhere that all bramleys come from the one original tree as cuttings or their grandchildren cuttings etc.. is it so unlikely that this pruning will live and turn into a tree?

if it carries on insisting on living I might move it to the orchard area (in winter once its dormant)

In theory providing it's not from the rootstock it should be a bramley!

well there is still plenty of time for it to die yet - one of my pea sticks flowered too - that was pear prunings.. but it gave up in the end.. just this bramley pruning looks hardier... but it cannot stay where it is.. in the middle of me veg patch... so will attempt to move it later.. if it lives that long...
