Time To Get Veg Box Voting - Nominations open for the 2007 UK Veg Box Awards
Nominations for the 2007 UK Veg Box Awards open on October 1st. Sponsored by VegBox-Recipes.co.uk, this is your opportunity to tell your box scheme what you think.

If you get a veg box, it's in your interests to vote. You can give your veg box provider a chance to win and you can also to make sure they know what they're doing well - and tip them off about anything they could do to improve. But don't worry - voting is anonymous!

The UK Veg Box Awards are important for box schemes.

Clare Jaques, founder of VegBox-Recipes.co.uk, says "Every vote counts. It doesn't matter whether a scheme is big or small, they've all got an equal chance of winning. But even if you think your scheme provider isn't a winner yet, your views can make a difference, by voting and telling them what they could do to improve."

Helen Case of Linscombe Farm, the 2006 winners, said, "That our customers voted for us to win this award shows they appreciate our efforts, enjoy our vegetables and the process of cooking and eating them, and that makes it all worthwhile."

You will be able to rate your veg box scheme on quality of produce, seasonality of box contents and customer service, as well as commenting on their strengths and what they could do better.

So make your voice heard by going to www.vegbox-recipes.co.uk and voting now.

Nominations close on December 31st 2007. The winners will be published in January 2008, along with analysis of the feedback.

I voted for mine too.

A couple of months ago, i had some broccoli in the box and it went yellow in a couple of days, so mum spoke to the delivery lady the next time she came, and that night i got phonecall from the bloke that owns it apologising and asking if i minded if he put a bit extra in next time. The bit extra turned out to be a bag of portobello mushrooms! Yum!

Thanks for the tip-off. I hadn't to date discovered the Vegbox Recipes website, so am very pleased both to be able to vote for my box scheme (www.rivernene.co.uk) and to discover a website dedicated to vegbox-orientated recipes. Fantastic!!
