reed bed waste system

Staying with my sister in cumbria and she is very interested in setting up her own reed bed system for toilet waste, has anyone had any experience in this field or knows of any help that she can get advice from
-how to build one.

I DONT KNOW, BUT I WOULD IMAGINE THAT THE ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGY CENTRE IN MACYNLLETH WOULD HAVE INFORMATION ON THIS SUBJECT sorry about the capitals

There's a book called Solviva that describes a very easy-to-set-up system for toilet waste and greywater. I'll see if I can find my copy and give you more details.

sorry to plug another Forum but Rosewood farm has just set up a reedbed system for his animal waste i think, this is a link to the topic post over on Downsizer and he has done loads of work on this if i recall,
