Has anyone tried eating this ...According to my book it can be added to stews,or used as a veg ...

Can be eaten raw as salad, too! There are differing opinions, though, on whether young or mature leaves taste better.

Just make sure it's nowhere near a dog walking path... You could have additional flavouring.

My friend mistakenly planted ground elder all over her garden - she thought it was wild strabs - ill have to tell her it can be eaten - that'll cheer her up!

Grrrr.. ground elder...
It is evil, evil stuff... I have it everywhere... I don't even want to grace it the dignity of eating it... it doesn't deserve to be treated well.

I tried it with a 50/50 mix of spinach, you would have thought it was all spinach

Do you mean the ground alder or the couch grass?

tis ok in the woods away from dogs ... mind you there was a dead badger not that far away ... poor lass the rangers think she died of illness so waiting for some one to check her out.

senior moment alert ... sorry guys I did try ground elder last year

just been sorting through recipes and stuff and found the ones I tried but I cant remember for the life of me what I thought of it ... couldn't have been to bad so will try again and see if I can remember this time... or write on the recipe what I think ...
lists, lists and more lists ... I dunno what I would do with out notes...
