PC music players

can anybody recommend a pc based, preferably free or VERY cheap music player that's NOT winamp or windows media player?!

I use VLC, if I'm not using Windows Media Player. VLC plays everything I've asked to play so far, video and music. Best of all, it's free for the downloading.

I use QuickTime (which has a pretty good free version) and iTunes (free.)

It is freeware and simple to install and use.

I'm having great fun with "Tunapie" and "Xmms" (superb for internet radio), I've also got Amarok, VLC, and Rhythmbox........all of which rock and roll and are FREE
