A while ago we got some day old chicks to brood. They are now in the chook tractor and produced their first eggs today!

The chook tractor? Is that some kind of luxury chicken home?

Lovely getting the eggs. What you gonna have with them?

My favourite is Chinese omelete!

Hey CL, it is a bottomless A-frame structure that get sat over the veggie patches so that they dig it over and manure it for me. The term was developed by Bill Mollison of permaculture fame!

I know how you feel, i have around 30 chickens who produce a good quantity of eggs but i also have a few bantams for fun. My polish bantam laid its first egg this morning and by the look on my face you'd think i'd never seen an egg before! Three cheers for the hard working chicks!
