festivals this year

Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

what are you all planning this year in the absence of a regular bgg? We may forgo the shareholders camp, and are thinking of www.earthwiseevents.co.uk and www.partyneuf.co.uk

we have people to water our plants you see...

AND what are the various ish meet ups??? Is there one in Auld Reekie? We might be able to make that (I may even write a dodgy poem for the occassion!)

was wondering the same thing............and along similar lines as well - the BGG shareholder's thing seems a bit "heavy" (and at £50 a pop to entertain yourselves............... :? ) only upside to that is that Headcorn is close to us- we've got to let our dogs/house sitter know soon too!

Me and Fee are going to Sunrise celebration, BGG and also Avebury for summer solstice which will be awesome. Also planning on going to Spratton folk festival as my fave band, Mad Dog McRea are actually leaving Plymouth for the only time this year so I'm trying to get the bf to book it off work and we're going!!!!!!
Wanted to take part in this year's Climate Camp... but it looks like it clashes with BGG :(

No sure about BGG Nik - not if its going to be £50 for not very much.

Sunrise celebration is a definite!

I'm also doing Whitby Goth Weekend at the end of this month.

Are there any other festivals on Early August (same dates as BGG) with tickets still for sale?

I'm quite tempted by Partyneuf...got to see if i can get the weekend off work.

And Earthwise looks good too, but i'm pretty much certain that that weekend will be a no-go.

I'll have to have a check at work tomorrow. See if i an swap the BGG weekend for another one with someone else.

Well this is in our nearest town, so it's the only hope we've got of going anywhere this year: http://www.workhousefestival.co.uk/index.html
