looking for a good book

I am looking for a good recipe book for homemade toileteries... lipbalms, bath salts, aromatherapy stuff, etc... (doesn't have to cover proper soap making but would be nice if it did)
I did get one out of the library - 1001 natural remedies - or something of that ilk, but it wasn't all that good... Any suggestions?
I have found a few good things online but I forget where they are or leave the computer upstairs when I need the recipe in the kitchen... and sometimes ya just want to flick through a book.

Hi, just read your message, I can recommend the two following books
Melinda Cross, The Handmade Soap Book, this is a great book!
Plus
Making Scented Soap by Linda Hambleden, again another mainly soaps book, but also starts to cover bath melts
I will pm you with lots of other stuff too!

Thanks Linda...
tbh not really interested in the fancy bath stuff (having no hot running water... chance would be a fine thing...ha)
What I do want is to replace the everyday things that I use with homemade... and be able to make gifts. I have done melt and pour soaps, bath bombs and bath salts but just looking for more everyday type stuff.
The handmade soap book sounds just right - I don't yet have the confidence to work with lye, etc but one day I will.

Hi, Have you tried looking for Jam making Thermometers, ? These are usually the best as they can stand the high heat temperature.
That is the only real criteria for the thermometer, it must be able to stand the high temperature. Doesn't have to be any special one.
Good luck

I have tried searching for this and would need to import it from NZ... It does look like a great book though
I'll keep looking and see if I can find it at a reasonable price.
