101 plant pots

I'm not sure if this has been covered (did a biref forum search... but in all honesty I have a short attention span!!
)
ok... mainly I'm wondering because I'm cheap, as I'm sure lots of other people would also admit to being, and like re-using things!
so, what things have you used for plant pots? Or would you consider using?
1. normal pot it came in if pre-brought
2. the herbs-in-tyre idea (ye olde bible!)
3. fizzy drink bottle cut in half, holes poked in the bottom
anymore?

going round my back yard I find I have plants in (or due to go in) :-
9, yoghurt pots
10, rubble sacks
11, washing up bowls
12, 'tested'
crash helmet with the padding ripped out (hanging pot)
13, old toilet cisterns
14, fruit juice / milk cartons
15, polystyrene wallpaper troughs
16, belfast sink
17, old boots
seedlings indoors are in takeaway boxes & egg boxes

22. Remember Blue Peter - Had to pour boiling water on LP records so that they became pliable, that you bent up the sides and voila! (No cracks about what's an LP from you youngsters!
23. I have a bngalow bath planted with herbs
24. and a coal skuttle planted with violas
25. and a baby's crib planted with bulbs
26. and cat litter trays with cut and come again lettuce
27. an old galv watering can has a pink in it (leaf matches can don't you know!)

33. ooh and i got one of those wirework things that were for 6 milk bottles but i've got 6 pots of daisies in it!

When my gas boiler was changed, the old flue was removed. It's a big square metalh thing. It's lanted up with a couple of tulips and hyacinths. They've only just gone over and looked really good.
I also have an old bread crate which is full of plants in pots waiting to be planted. They've been there for years

If you're ever in this part of the world, stop in and pick up a sackfull of the used plant pots that are filling up my shed. I swear that they breed!

) - I got hold of a load of those plastic buckets you see cut flowers kept in at the shops.
Drill a couple of holes in the bottom for drainage and they're excellent for tomato growing.
(number um+1) - troughs made from decking offcuts, lined with polythene and strabs planted in them.

One of the kid's dresser drawers fell apart on the sides and bottom and after a few futile attempts at keeping it together it was put in the reuse section outside our backdoor.
Yesterday, hubby removed the bottom and re-attached the sides so its drawer shaped frame wise and put it outside in our garden, filled with compost and planted some new veg seed in.
So besides our tyres that are currently hosting a variety of herbs and taters it was our first "made" raised bed. Hopefully, not the last.
