I have a mac, and the option to save to pdf (instead of printing) is already there.

so no need for additional software.

Microsoft Office 2007 can do this, too!

Well I don't have a Mac anymore and I don't use Microsoft if I can help it - that was the cause of my need for a print to pdf 'cos I have just installed Quickbooks and wanted to email my invoices but it has to be done via Outlook and I use Thunderbird

Print to pdf will be very handy for me at least!

There's a nifty utility called primopdf which you can get for free from http://www.primopdf.com/. This also installs a pdf printer but it has some built-in options for things like pre-press preparation, so could be useful even if you have the ability to save as pdf already.

Not bad. Recently I have found this PDF Printer in the net. It supports Windows Vista.

I used to use PrimoPDF too.

However, now that I use the Ubuntu version of the Linux operating system, I am always given the option of printing to a PDF file as part of the default print set up.
