Raspberry and Strawberry Problems

Please help

On watering my raspberries and strawbs at the weekend I noticed the leaves are going wrong...!

Ive tried to upload some pics but am never very good at doing it right so you may need to copy and paste into the address bar to view them but here goes.

The raspberry leaves appear to be shrivelling up on some of them, particularly the new shoots and some of the strawb leaves are looking somewhat leathery and a lighter shade of green compared to other leaves on the same plant, but the fruit seems to be okay.

Any ideas what this might be on both and if its something that can be combated or is it a lost cause? Particlarly the raspberries?

Hard to say, they "look" alright to me from the photo's.

Have you checked the underside for aphids or green fly, as they can distort leaves and make them look less yellow.

Same as Cheezy, they look pretty much OK to me! Perhaps a slug or snail has been over them. And how much rain have you had locally? If its really heavy it can batter more tender leaves. Leaves come & go, its the flowers/fruit you are interested in

the raspberry leaves are shrivelling up (particularly the new shoots) and the leaves are losing their dark green pigment and going a really light green too.

Im not so concerned about the strawbs but theres definitely something up with the raspberries.

Thanks for looking tho, really appreciated x

Cane blight, possibly?

Thanks MKG, possibly but it does stay it affects the old canes and its the new shoots that are shrivelling up. Think I'll air on the side of caution and remove it, just to be sure

Some of the leaves on my strawbs go yellow - sometimes only half the leave does it, but I pluck them off and it seems to recover.

Have you fed them? They like a bit of suphate of potash (a powder you can mix in with the water)

Nope not fed them as they were in fresh compost. They are fruiting now so i'll probably give them a feed.

Thanks

Some of my strawbs started producing leaves that were a very strange mottled lime green colour, but the plants look otherwise healthy and are producing plenty of fruit, so I am not concerning myself with it at the moment.

In your photos the strawbs look fine to me but the rasps look like something has been eating the leaves.
