Well, the raised bed kits have arrived and have been built so now I need to dig 'em in. Probably have to wait until after the weekend though. It's my daughters birthday this weekend and we have a house full of guests and a Birthday party to survive!

My veg plot adventure starts here...

Well, that's it my vegetable plot starts now. I've just ordered a couple of raised bed kits from Wiggly Wrigglers and I've got some space in the garden ready and put aside, just by where I'm growing rhubarb. Is Media Player something specific to a podcast (whatever that is)? Hi there Millymollymandy. There's no moving image as the podcast is audio only,...

My daughter (who's two next week) had decided she didn't want naps and now about 6 months later she's having them again, mainly as she's so knackered from all the running about.

"Britain seeks loophole in EU green energy targets"

Interesting report on the front of yesterday's Guardian. To help meet our target of increasing the percentage of power that comes from renewable energy fivefold in the next 12 years, the government has started to lobby the EU into changing the way the target is calculated. They propose that British ...

The fact that it's such a current story would have been exactly why the team put together the segment. It was examining the claim that free-range food tastes better. What they did was cook the four birds in a lab kitchen in the same conditions, for the same time and at the same temperatures. Then th...

I think the point above is the one that really sums it up. Most people today are conditioned to eat intensively reared chicken. It's all they know. Plus, they were commenting on the tenderness of the chicken. No-wonder it was tender - it had little in the way of muscle in its life. I believe the stu...

Hi Milims,

Bristol's certainly a very cool and quite 'media' place to live, especially with the Natural History Unit here. But of course, I'm biased as I'm a Bristolian through and through...
