Wouldn't it require quite a lot of sunflowers to get out some oil? I'm not so familiar yet with selfsufficient living, but I think that you would need a whole bunch of sunflowers to get enough oil out of them. :)

I would try a good mix of colors since it's for a wedding. Have you tried yet to talk to some florists near you what to plant? I'm pretty sure that if it's a small local flower store they will be happy to give you some advice. :)

Well, an advice from my aunt - she lives in England - was to stomp some egg shells and put the around your plants/flowers. The slugs wouldn't go there or die or something.
