Re: How can I make a cheap Pelletizer
Weve got plenty of hay suitable for burning this year, but not suitable for feed. Just managed to get the last round bales off the field. But the hay does not smell good as its too fusty.

Re: Where can I buy dwarf apple/pear/cherry trees cheapest?
I have purchased from this company in the past, and he even phoned me up just to check on the type of ground I was planting in. Such a nice friendly touch. http://www.talatonplants.co.uk/trees.htm you will not get any cheaper, and with quality. Also try out https://secure.agroforestry.co.uk/plants20...

Re: Where can I buy dwarf apple/pear/cherry trees cheapest?
I got some from Aldi a few years ago, the only problem is that they do not say what the rootstock is ?? I have a range of varieties mainly on M26 growing in clay ground. Some are growing well and some are not, some are tall some are short. So select the variety carefully to suit the ground. If you c...

Re: How can I make a cheap Pelletizer
I have just managed to get a large bore and wall thickness stainless tube. Setup basically the same as yours. But with a hinged bottom, that is pinned shut. So when all the compressing has finished, I can remove the bottom, and just push it out. The trouble I am having is the amount of stroke of the...

Re: How can I make a cheap Pelletizer
That sound easy, and right up my street. A bit messy thou, and could take a long time to dry out, especially this year. I do not have that many newspapers to use, what else could I use. I have thought about fresh grass, compress it till the juices comes out. But how can I do it on a reasonable scale...

How can I make a cheap Pelletizer
Anybody got any good ideas on how can I make a cheap Pelletizer. For turning wood chippings/straw/sawdust/left over hay etc etc into pellets suitable for a wood burner, on a reasonable scale. Its just the mechanics I am looking for, as the commercial ones are horrendously dear and supprisingly consu...

http://www.miraclefruit.co.uk/grow.html is an absolute ripoff.
What they do not say is that the seed is very perishable.

Re: Hazelnut trees, taking cuttings
You do not get a very high % take on cuttings. Unless you have a coppiced stump which has had the stump covered with soil to induce root formation on each hazel rod. When rooted they can be cut off the main stump with the new roots, during winter and planted out. The more favoured way is by layering...
