Re: Redundant.

Oh my. Spider look. It's been a shock - and yes, it's always worse when it comes right out of the blue as well - sorta like someone pulling the rug from under your feet, huh? I sort of agree with what others have said - yes, a routine is good - although I don't go out to work & have no routine w...

Re: Complete Dried Cat Food

We got a little moggy from the local cat rescue & he's an odd little character. One of my customers told me that he was so friendly... ?? All I ever see him doing is sleeping on the bed all day & then he's out all night - doesn't really have anything to do with us! Anyway, I started of...

Re: Birmingham Pride

So not fair. :( I used to steward at the Blackpool Pride & we always had such a fantastic time, making new friends every year. Oh, and then there was the 'after party' at Funny Girls as well! Sadly, Prides really haven't caught on as far 'west & country' where we are & although they have...

Re: Chickens For Meat? - Cost/Breed/Feed?

Yep, I have 3 more rooster boys ready to go for the oven over the next week or 2 plus a turkey stag who has taken exception to the husband.... I put approximately 2 dozen assorted eggs in the cabinet each day & they all sell at €1.50 for 6, so that's about €40 to €45 a week. The feed c...

Well, personally I think Denmark are right to ban Marmite. Then everyone can just have Bovril on their toast, like what I do.....

Love it? Hate it? I think you know what camp I fall in, ahaha!

Re: You cannot beat the taste of home grown tomatoes

Ahhh, right. I get it now! OK, so in MY house, I'd be better off freezing them then, because cupboard space is SO short. If I had enough storage space for jars & cans maybe I'd rethink the bottling thing - but popping them into a bag & into the freezer... well that's a whole new story. Thank...

Re: You cannot beat the taste of home grown tomatoes

Oh now look what you've gone and done okra - you'll get Odsox started! Moi ? Surely not. I think you may be preaching to the converted a bit Okra, although I agree wholeheartedly with you. One thing though, if you like home grown so much, why don't you grow them all year round ? If I ...
