Chicken poo is quite potent stuff, best to put it on the compost heap first, this will help everything rot down quicker.

I was advised against it to be honest but gave it a go to see how they went. Is it worthwhile? Well that is to be seen as I will sow some late jan/early feb as per packet instructions and see if the head start was worth it. Your leeks will be fine, especially the mussleburgh. I sowed some early as an experiment a few weeks back and there are shooting up brilliantly under cover even in this weather

Hi, home 'grown' are much tastier and hugely satisfying, cost wise it depends on what type of eggs you buy, you can get eggs for around 10p each in the supermarket if you buy eggs from battery hens, compared to free range and certainly organic (approx 20-25p each) your running costs will be slightly...
